  • Hi Gloria,

Brooklyn Bowl would probably be interested in sponsoring the edible part of this event. Let me know if this still up in the air.

    Cheers,

  • I had a great time last night thanks to your efforts. I'll be looking forward to seeing you again. By the way I'm an ?Astorian? also. Maybe I'll see you around town some time.
    Thank you,
    Charlie K

  • Hi Gloria,

Sorry to see that the Python/Django 4-class series was cancelled. Pls let me know if you decide to re-instate it!

  • Yeah, I kind of got the feeling your apprenticeship group was pretty stacked up. I'm interested in putting together a really rigorous plan for teaching myself some CS stuff and would appreciate your input but where to start and how to proceed. Like I said, you must be swamped but if I could pick your brain at some point it would be much appreciated. Best, R

  • Hi Gloria. Wanted to say hi again since we didn't get a chance to chat 1-2-1 yesterday. I'm super interested in your apprenticeship program as I'm hoping to make a shift from my current field into programming, Web stuff seems a good way to ease my way but I'm looking for a serious challenge. I don't think I'm far enough along to benefit from PyGotham but it looks awesome. Maybe we could meet for a cup of coffee or lunch or something? Happy to follow up after PyGotham is done if that's better. R

  • This is a deep dive 1.5-2 hour talk with a break. It starts with operating system theory, moves to coroutines and scheduling, and finishes with recommendations of how to push Python to the limits. Spotify is hosting and I'm meeting with them on Thursday. I'll find out what the possibilities are for pizza. They are in the Google building and security is really tight.

  • Hi Gloria, Welcome to Ladies Who Code! Three cheers for representing Python! I settled on Ruby, but I really love having the diversity and learning about the (subtle and not-so-subtle) intricacies of different languages. Hope to see you soon!

  • Hey Gloria, we've got a replacement speaker and will rescheule you for Feb, just waiting on confirmation to update the info. Sorry for the confusion!
