Yes. I have been earning money with Django for about 6 months now.
Yes. Some of my projects are open source. The most noteworthy one is a research project for Johns Hopkins involving language translations using Pinax but it's not ready for the public yet.

Hey James, are you coming to the next meeting? ;-)
I guess you just want to keep an eye on your first Chapter in Europe, right?!
Hey James, its Jeany. It was good to meet you today and I'll see you at the Spotify event. I RSVP'ed. Cheers!
Hey, James,
It might be 'cause my head is still foggy from having a cold virus for 3 weeks, but it took me forever to get your sarcasm. :/
Was fun chatting. :)
Laughing retroactively,
Hii James! SUPER AWESOMESAUCE meeting you!!! Thanks for the talk. Email me!
Hi James - good to quickly meet you this morning - I'm sure I'll get to chat more with you at future DUMBO meetups.
I just moved to NY from SF. I'm freelancing as a front-end web developer, interviewing for jobs, and generally interested in startups. My top question right now as a NYC newbie is to learn the ropes for the NYC local scene. My current strategies: Hacker News, meetup.com, and I just learned about nextny.org. Any other tips to start me off? Thanks!
